For the first time in the history of the Philly’s Games, in 2016 we introduced a new sporting code – Netball. Four (4) teams participated in the inaugural Philly’s Games Netball Shoot-out. The teams comprised of ladies who are truly passionate about the game and they made the event an incredible success. The Shoot-out ran from the 23rd to the 28th of December 2016. The teams who took part are: DESIGN HYGIENE, MIDRAND DREAM TEAM, MIGHTY GOLDEN GIRLS & MIDRAND ROVERS.

DESIGN HYGIENE emerged as the champions of the tournament. Congrats to the awesome ladies who represent DESIGN HYGIENE.

The Philly’s Games will be including Netball as a standard sporting coding going forward.

A big thank you to the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts and Culture for their amazing support in helping us put this event together. A special mention must go to Kekeletso Moalosi who ran hand-in-hand with us before and during this event. And an even bigger thanks goes to all the ladies and their teams who participated in the Shoot-out.
